Courtney Gluchacki CDTK CTDI CCFC

Owner & Head Trainer

Courtney entered the pet care industry the day she turned 16 years old. She knew from the time that she was 6 years old that this was the life-long career path for her and she has been growing and learning every day for the past decade. 

This career has its ups and its downs, but Courtney used these experiences to strengthen her desire to help owners and their canine companions through fun, positive and educational training! 


Courtney has worked as a Pet Care Specialist, Pet Nutritionist, Dog Groomer, Veterinary Assistant/Technician, Kennel Technician, Aquatics Specialist, Dog Handler and Dog Trainer throughout many of Rhode Island and Massachusetts pet care establishments.  

Courtney graduated the Petco Dog Training Instructor Program (DTIP) in 2013. She quickly realized the need for more personalized training programs and that is when she and her husband, Alphonse, opened A.C.E. K9 Academy. Courtney is a Certified American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Instructor, a Professional Premium Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, a Member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor and Certified Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach with Do More With Your Dog! Courtney recently Graduated from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy with her Certification in Dog Training Knowledge. Courtney currently holds the title of All-Star Trick Dog Trainer of the Year and was the 2018 runner-up for the National Dog Trainer Award. Courtney is Certified in Pet First Aid & CPR.

Courtney currently trains full-time and when time allows, she loves attending dog shows and competitions with her friends and clients! Courtney has shown and titled multiple breeds in AKC and UKC such as German Shepherd Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Australian Shepherds, Irish Wolfhounds and Irish Setters. Courtney also actively competes in dog sports where she has titled dogs in Tricks (AKC & DMWYD), CGC, Coursing Ability, Fast CATS, Herding, Dock Diving, Rally Obedience, Nose Work, Stunt Dog and Fitness. She also runs the first AKC Recognized FIT DOG Club in New England!

Courtney's side hobby is the raising and breeding of quality German Shepherd Dogs. She is the co-founder of Kryptonian German Shepherd Dogs. Courtney also specializes in training for special needs dogs and has had two of her own, Krypto & Kal!

Alphonse Gluchacki III

General Manager

Alphonse has been in the pet care industry since ​2012. He has worked as a Sales Associate, Aquatics Specialist, Cat & Dog Manager and Merchandise Operations Manager throughout pet care establishments in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. 

Alphonse graduated Cum Laude from Bristol Community College in 2012 with a Associates Degree in Computer Science: Video Game Design and Development. Alphonse also served as a Rescue Swimmer in the United States Navy and a Police Officer in Pensacola, Florida. 

Alphonse's favorite breed is the German Shepherd Dog and he loves assisting us with the more fearful/timid dog's that come into our training programs.

Katarina Dery

Dog Trainer

Katarina (better known as "Kat") entered the pet care industry in 2009. She has always had a passion for animals and knew that working with them was what she was destined to do. Kat has worked as a Pet Care Advisor, Pet Nutritionist, Avian ​Specialist, Dog Bather, Kennel Attendant and Dog Trainer throughout many of Rhode Island and Massachusetts Pet Care Establishments. 

Kat graduated from the Petco Dog Trainer Instructor Program (DTIP) in April 2017. She joined the A.C.E. K9 Academy Team in September 2019 where she helps train in our Academy Program, Group Classes and Private Lessons. Kat's passion in training is Behavior Modification - she loves giving owners the second chance to living a happier, healthier life with their dogs. 

Kat is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Instructor, and is working to become a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers as well as enrolling in CATCH Canine Trainers Academy.

Since being here, Kat has been introduced to the world of dog sports and has earned their Advanced Trick Dog, Rally Novice, Canine Good Citizen and Novice Stunt Dog Title! They plan to get started in Nose Work, Dock Diving and Obedience in 2020!

Cynthia Nunes CDTK

Dog Trainer

Cynthia has been in the Pet Care Industry for 8 years and has been with the A.C.E. family for 2 years! Cynthia is a graduate of the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and is Certified in Dog Training Knowledge. She is also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Instructor. 

Cynthia's passion in dog training is working on the canine/human bond and watching teams progress over the course of a training program. Cynthia has two German Shepherd Dogs, Kallista and Kovu, they compete in Conformation, Trick and Obedience. 

Cynthia is also certified in Canine Nutrition and CPR.
