Courtney with her German Shepherd, Ace and her late dog, Krypto

Courtney entered the pet care industry the day she turned 16 years old. She knew from the time that she was 6 years old that this was the life-long career path for her and she has been growing and learning every day for the past decade.

This career has its ups and its downs, but Courtney used these experiences to strengthen her desire to help owners and their canine companions through fun, positive and educational training!

Courtney has worked as a Pet Care Specialist, Pet Nutritionist, Dog Groomer, Veterinary Assistant/Technician, Kennel Technician, Aquatics Specialist, Dog Handler and Dog Trainer throughout many of Rhode Island and Massachusetts pet care establishments.

Courtney graduated the Petco Dog Training Instructor Program (DTIP) in 2013. She quickly realized the need for more personalized training programs and that is when she and her husband, Alphonse, opened A.C.E. K9 Academy.

Courtney is a Certified American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Instructor, a Professional Premium Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, a Member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor and Certified Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach with Do More With Your Dog! Courtney is also currently enrolled in the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy to continue her education. Courtney currently holds the title of Trick Dog Trainer of the Year and was the 2018 runner-up for the National Dog Trainer Award.

Courtney currently trains full-time and when time allows, she loves attending dog shows and competitions with her friends and clients! Courtney has shown and titled multiple breeds in AKC and UKC such as German Shepherd Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Australian Shepherds, Irish Wolfhounds and Irish Setters. Courtney also actively competes in dog sports where she has titled dogs in Tricks (AKC & DMWYD), CGC, Coursing Ability, Fast CATS, Herding, Dock Diving, Rally Obedience and Nose Work. She also runs the first AKC Recognized FIT DOG Club in New Englanf!
